GRAND PRIX EDVENTURE

This interactive 3D dark ride, based on the film ‘GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE’, combines haptic gameplay and virtual worlds with the thrill of a fast-paced race. As members of Ed and Edda’s racing team, visitors must collect the ‘blue energy’ needed by the mascots to win the Grand Prix across Europe. Spread over ten sections, guests are immersed in well-known European cities. Using their skills, they operate the haptic cannons and experience the thrill of racing with all their senses, thanks to stereoscopy and an immersive soundscape.

MACK Animation was responsible for developing the gameplay and the attraction’s visuals. Our services included game design, look development, asset creation, animation and programming of the game mechanics. As we produced the film ‘GRAND PRIX OF EUROPE’ at the same time, we were able to integrate locations, moods and characters directly into the attraction’s virtual world.

This approach enabled efficient production and ensured a consistent look and feel across the film and game. Our proven, flexible production pipeline for assets and animation made the successful implementation of this technically innovative attraction possible.
